Nothing beats the smells of fresh carpet. Our room was very clean and the microwave in the laundry was very handy for my fussy eater so I could quickly heat up some lasagna for him lol staff on arrival and departure were so lovely and presented themselves well. We were on the second floor on a corner room near the stairs. I thought it was going to be noisy but nope it was the opposite. Highly recommend!! Our overall stay was wonderful. I hope we can stay longer next time.

The serviced apartment was great, and the location was really convenient for both Shoal and Nelson Bay - but what really made it for me was that despite me having made a mistake with the booking (I booked it for Dec '25, not '24), and despite it being the busiest time of the year, the lady at reception was able to help us out, show us the options and fit us in which after a long bushwalk was hugely appreciated. Will definitely return.

Wonderful staff put the icing on the cake that is Peninsular. Nothing is too much trouble for Karen... Thrifty pricing but ultra convenient location make this our home away from home every time.

Super friendly team in an awesome location, easy walk to beach and shoal bay. Lovely pool area and restaurant onsite made for a very enjoyable 5 night stay.

Great service, they can leave you room key in a key box in the case you arrive after hours. We booked only 1h before we arrived so it was more expensive as opposed to booking at least 24h in advance. The beds are very comfortable, clean and quiet

The bed was very indented so felt like I was sleeping on a hillThe lounge was very old and hardThe fridge could be a little bigger with a bigger freezer

The lounge was all but broken. You could not sit on the far endThe shower was terrible. Trying to juggle the hot and cold water to not burn yourself.However the beds were comfortable and the room was cleanWe were only staying one night not sure I’d like to stay to long on that room

Pros: Great location- quiet, off-street undercover parking. Secure. Clean premises. A Beautiful updated bathroom, although description of " ensuite" is very misleading. Well appointed kitchen if it was needed.Cons: Lounge area- both sofas have well out lived the lifetime. Small sofa has very badly worn seats. Pull out sofa bed has a very large rip in one seat cushion! On arrival, thankfully, I checked the sofa bed- not made up although notice had been given it would be used. The mattress for double sofa bed was only a single, with straps that were broken so useless.Receptionist finally brought bedding after 2 calls, and was surprised we asked for a pillow??? Pillow supplied smelled of previous use, really sweaty, so was not used. Took one from upstairs bedroom. Sheets- 1 had stain on it, luckily could stretch to tuck in under mattress. Downstairs accommodation 2.5 star.Upstairs was fine, though moving of furniture near bed to get to power points showed dusting is required there. Pleasant stay was enjoyed however.

Not the best place I have stayed, burnt the worst either. Reception was interesting to say the least. Close enough to walk to Shoal Bay, which was a bonus.

Very comfortable and clean room. Nice size swimming pool.with attached spa. Attached restaurant Korean fried chicken and beer. Very nice place for lunch or dinner. Close to the beaches.

Clean friendly staff . However this is not a 4 star ⭐️ hotel motel. 3 at best .Still comfortable and convenient.

I was greeted so warmly at reception when checking in. All my questions were answered above & beyond. Rooms are lovely, the place is quiet & so close to everything.Wonderful, highly recommend.

I’ve been staying here every two weeks for work, and it’s been a great experience every time. The rooms are always clean, with comfortable beds and all the things needed for a pleasant stay. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out a breeze. Despite being a budget-friendly motel, the quality and service go above and beyond. Highly recommend staying here

I enjoyed my stay here, right near the West Club, not far from Shaol Bay and Fingal Bay, the only downside not a convenience store in walking distance, no chip or drink machine anywhere at the hotel, so if you had a few alcoholic drinks at West Club your stuck for driving to a place, so bring goodies with you.

Loved our stay here. After a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom apartment it set the trend for a great stay. Nice easy walk to the water and the club. Reception last was nice and helpful. We will be back.

Good: The bed is really comfortable. It was quiet with no road noise to disturb our sleep. We did hear cars in the car park in the morning, but nothing super early. The staff are friendly and helpful.Bad: Really needs renovation. Bathroom is old and dated. The couch is a bed settee and useless for sitting on. The cushions don't keep you from the bed frame below so extremely uncomfortable. No crockery or cutlery other than 2 glasses, 2 coffee cups and teaspoons so even eating takeaway food was difficult. The fridge had no shelves either.The tv was older and didn't work on all channels. Some had only sound, no picture. It is a drive to source food and drink. Only food in walking distance is the Korean restaurant below which we found pricey for what we wanted to eat. Others might think it quite reasonable.

The first room we put us in the TV was not operating, the shower screen desperately need replacement. We reported this to management and was moved to a new room.Julie, the manager told me she had only been there for 18months and was trying to have the rooms upgraded .Both rooms were very clean an comfortable. We would happily rebook at Peninsula Hotel.

It's always clean, comfortable & a lovely group of people that look after you very well. Breakfast is always great, the Chinese restaurant & coffee is terrific too. Thanks to everyone who makes our stay wonderful.This is an old post, we haven't stayed there since then & since it changed hands! We can't afford it anymore!Older management was great!
