The room was just what we needed. Clean comfortable.
The staff, especially the manager, were friendly and easy to have a chat with. Karen does an exceptional job and based on this alone I would definitely be back if I am up this way again.

The lady at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. The room was just for overnight but it was great. Very clean and comfortable. Easy walk into Nelson's Bay and convenient position to beach, club and best of all has a fabulous Korean restaurant on site. Not 5 star but perfect for what we wanted.

I arrived after hours to the Penninsular, which made no difference. Getting the key was no trouble. The location was very easy to find, and I had available car parking for my hire car.
The room is very spacious and a good layout, not too enclosed.
I did like the private balcony to myself with the view of the pool too.
The bed was super comfortable, and I was very happy it was a queen and not just a double!!
I liked it was quiet, even though there is a road running along the back of the property, you wouldn't know. It was very peaceful.
I will be back for sure when I return later on in the year with the children in tow too!!

Room was lovely, very clean, nice presentation. Just room 213 needs a new shower head desperately. Also as the room sits over the entrance, it had bright lights all night. The curtains were good but means you can't open your blinds at night at all.

The Staff were excellent the room was beautiful and clean and the beds comfortable. The motel is close to everything and nothing seems to be a bother. Oh and off street parking win every way.

For the cost, our stay was absolutely amazing! Rooms were very clean, location is perfect, super close to the beach & can walk to Shoal Bay or Nelson Bay or 1-2 min drive.

Location and rooms are fine. Recommend, however I booked a 5 night stay and needed to leave after 3 nights for a family issue. Asked about a refund which I was fine if not given but also asked about a credit to come back and was told no refunds or credits given. Disappointing. Staff were fine but management need to review policy. Overnight or 2 will be great. I would of come back but not now

Fantastic Restaurant in complex 'Giwa Chicken and Beer'. Korean Fried Chicken. Very tasty, I'm eating there most nights.
I have now stayed here for 1 month whilst relocating to Area. The Manager Karen has been fantastic as All her Staff.
They have 2 Level, 4 bed apartments or Large 1 room units. (The Most Comfy Bed i have been in)
Only a few minutes walk to the West's Club or Nelson Bay.
If you are heading to Port Stephens I Highly Recommend you Book at Peninsula Motel.

When needed help with family been sick.the service desk was very helpful and kind thankyou so much.we hope to return in the very near future.your the best.

Great stay at the peninsula. Rooms were clean, ample parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant onsite and good pool. Stairs to get to rooms. Would stay here again.

Rooms were lovely, nice and aircon when we walked in on a 40 degree day. Receptionist was lovely, was nice and close to everything to get something for dinner and breakfast because of the convenient location.

We'll be back.

Nothing beats the smells of fresh carpet. Our room was very clean and the microwave in the laundry was very handy for my fussy eater so I could quickly heat up some lasagna for him lol staff on arrival and departure were so lovely and presented themselves well. We were on the second floor on a corner room near the stairs. I thought it was going to be noisy but nope it was the opposite. Highly recommend!! Our overall stay was wonderful. I hope we can stay longer next time.

The serviced apartment was great, and the location was really convenient for both Shoal and Nelson Bay - but what really made it for me was that despite me having made a mistake with the booking (I booked it for Dec '25, not '24), and despite it being the busiest time of the year, the lady at reception was able to help us out, show us the options and fit us in which after a long bushwalk was hugely appreciated. Will definitely return.

Wonderful staff put the icing on the cake that is Peninsular. Nothing is too much trouble for Karen... Thrifty pricing but ultra convenient location make this our home away from home every time.

I loved everything about the motel, the owner and people working there were awesome, so friendly and always happy to help, recommend this place to anyone visiting port Stephen’s, will definitely be rebooking there on our next trip to port Stephen’s

Great service, they can leave you room key in a key box in the case you arrive after hours. We booked only 1h before we arrived so it was more expensive as opposed to booking at least 24h in advance. The beds are very comfortable, clean and quiet

The bed was very indented so felt like I was sleeping on a hill
The lounge was very old and hard
The fridge could be a little bigger with a bigger freezer

The lounge was all but broken. You could not sit on the far end
The shower was terrible. Trying to juggle the hot and cold water to not burn yourself.
However the beds were comfortable and the room was clean

We were only staying one night not sure I’d like to stay to long on that room

Pros: Great location- quiet, off-street undercover parking. Secure. Clean premises. A Beautiful updated bathroom, although description of " ensuite" is very misleading. Well appointed kitchen if it was needed.
Cons: Lounge area- both sofas have well out lived the lifetime. Small sofa has very badly worn seats. Pull out sofa bed has a very large rip in one seat cushion! On arrival, thankfully, I checked the sofa bed- not made up although notice had been given it would be used. The mattress for double sofa bed was only a single, with straps that were broken so useless.
Receptionist finally brought bedding after 2 calls, and was surprised we asked for a pillow??? Pillow supplied smelled of previous use, really sweaty, so was not used. Took one from upstairs bedroom. Sheets- 1 had stain on it, luckily could stretch to tuck in under mattress. Downstairs accommodation 2.5 star.
Upstairs was fine, though moving of furniture near bed to get to power points showed dusting is required there. Pleasant stay was enjoyed however.
